Master of Studies in Jewish Studies in the Graeco-Roman Period

  • 1. Every candidate must follow for at least three terms a course of study in Jewish Studies in the Graeco-Roman Period.
  • 2. Syllabus

    There will be four Units. Each unit is examined by two submitted essays (3,000 words each).

  • Unit (i) Essay questions on Jewish history and institutions from 300 BCE to 200 CE.

  • Units (ii), (iii) and (iv) Prescribed texts. Select one paper for each unit from the list provided in the couse handbook.

  • 3. Candidates may be required to attend a viva.
