Gazette 18 July 2024

Revision to regulations so that in order for a postgraduate research degree thesis to be considered as having been submitted during a particular term, it must be submitted at the latest on the Saturday (in UK time) of the last week before the following Full Term (instead of the Friday).

Clarification that suspension of status is not possible after a student has submitted a research degree thesis.

Revision to remove the possibility of students transferring from a postgraduate taught course to a postgraduate research programme without following an admissions process and being considered against a gathered field.

(i) Clarification that no changes to a research degree thesis can be made once leave to supplicate has been granted

(ii) Inclusion in regulations (as is practice) that in order to be considered as having been submitted in a particular term, research degree theses must be submitted by the Friday of the last week before the following Full Term.
