1. Candidates
formustadmissionfollowwillabecourseexpectedoftoinstructionhaveoversatisfactorilyonecompletedyear in thePostgraduatesubjectDiplomaofindiplomaticDiplomatic Studies not more than three terms before admission to the M.Ststudies. -

The course will be taken on a part-time basis over a period of not fewer than three terms and not more than six terms. The total period of study for the Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies and the M.St in Diplomatic Studies combined shall be not more than nine terms to be taken over a maximum of eighteen terms from the commencement of the Diploma. 3.In addition to having previously satisfied the examiners in all four modules and in the dissertation specified for the Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies, every candidateCandidates will be required to satisfy the examiners in the following:-
(i. Four written papers, each of three hours’ duration, one on each of the topics below:-
a)
participationDiplomaticin on-line dissertation supervisions;Practice -
(b)submissionInternationalofPolitics -
c)
aInternational Trade and Finance -
d) Public International Law

ii. A dissertation of
nonot more than 15,000 words.Theon a topicofchosen by thedissertation,candidatewhichinshouldconsultationbe related to one or more ofwith thesubject areas of the four modules in the Postgraduate Diploma,supervisor andwhich should be distinct from, though may be complementary to, the topic of the dissertation examined for the Postgraduate Diploma, must beapproved by thecourse director not later than 12 noon on the Friday of first week of Michaelmas Full Term in the academic year in which the examination is takenexaminers.Two typewritten or word processed copies of theThe dissertation must bedelivereduploaded in a format to be prescribed in the course handbook, to theRegistry,UniversityDepartmentapprovedforonlineContinuingassessmentEducation,platform.1SubmisionWellingtondeadlinesSquare,andOxfordinformationnotarelater than 12 noon on Friday of sixth week of Trinity Full Termpublished in theyearcoursein which the examination is takenhandbook.

CandidatesThewhoexaminers may award a distinction for excellence in the whole examination. 6.A candidate whose dissertation failsfail to satisfy theexaminerexaminersmayin each of the written papers or in the dissertation will be permitted toresubmitresit the part or parts of the examination which they have failed on one further occasion only not later than one year after the initialfailureattempt.7.If any candidate who is successful in the examination for the Degree of Master of Studies in Diplomatic Studies has previously successfully completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Diplomatic Studies, the Master of Studies will subsume his or her Diploma.
